Dane County Farmers Market

Thank you for supporting local flowers all these years.  You are the reason we are still growing 44 years later!

We have been selling at the amazing Dane County Farmer’s Market around the square for 44 years. We started our love affair with flowers at this very market with a bucket of orange marigolds and have grown cut flowers ever since.

We grow our crops using organic pracrices, meaning no harsh chemical fertilizers, fungicides, or herbicides are applied to our flowers. We use crop rotation, cover crop, beneficial insects and OMRI approved product to keep out plants heathy. This is not a requirement to be part of the market, but a requirement for our business to keep our land usable for generations and our bodies free of harsh chemicals.

We love the hustle and bustle of this producer only market and try to make it each Saturday until Christmas. Did you know an owner of the business has to be present at the market stand? You will see Hans selling the very flowers he grows and happily talking all about them.

We start off our season with beautiful bulb flowers such as tulips and muscari and end the season with pine wreaths in December.  If you frequent our stand you will notice each week the color palette and varieties changing with the season, August and September being the most bountiful.

We know there are many flower vendors to choose from at the market and we appreciate all our regulars who know the quality of our product and return week to week. We are producers of florist quality stems, which means proper conditioning of the flower before your purchase. The little things like growing only pollenless sunflowers to get amazing vase life and no mess are the things we are constantly thinking about. We pour our hearts into our flowers and hope they bring you joy.

Check out the Dane County Farmers Market Website for more information. We are there 6:30 am till we sell out. The market closes at 2:30.

Stop in and say hi!
